In October 2025, Argentina experienced a 2.9% year-over-year decline in industrial production, worsening from the 0.7% decrease observed in September. Out of sixteen manufacturing sectors, eleven reported reductions. The most significant decreases were recorded in textile products (-24%), apparel, leather, and footwear (-15.1%), and both rubber and plastic products and tobacco products saw a 12% decline. Additionally, metal products fell by 8.1%, wood, paper, publishing, and printing decreased by 3.4%, motor vehicles, bodies, trailers, and auto parts dropped 4.1%, machinery and equipment declined 2.2%, food and beverages were down 1.7%, furniture and mattresses decreased 1.5%, and chemicals saw a slight dip of 0.4%. On the contrary, there were increases in petroleum refining, coke and nuclear fuel (3.2%), non-metallic mineral products (1.1%), and basic metals (0.9%). Seasonally adjusted, industrial activity saw a monthly decline of 0.8%.
