Thailand’s exports surged 20.8% year-on-year to USD 34.7 billion in June 2026, a sharp acceleration from May’s 10.6% increase—the weakest pace in four months—and well above market expectations of 15.2%. The robust performance was driven primarily by industrial products, whose exports rose 25.1%. Within this category, shipments of computers and related equipment jumped 57.4%, telephones and components soared 186.1%, and automobiles and parts climbed 8.0%.

By contrast, exports of agricultural products declined 10.8%, marking a second consecutive month of contraction. Across destinations, shipments to the United States, Thailand’s largest export market, surged 44.3% year-on-year, exports to Japan increased 22.7%, and those to China rose 4.9%.

In the first half of 2026, total exports expanded 17.6% compared with the same period in 2025, reaching USD 196.7 billion. Looking ahead, the commerce ministry expects exports to grow 8% for the full year, supported by easing global tensions and resilient demand for technology-related goods.
