24.07.202605:00:00UTC+00Finnish Import Price Growth Cools in June, Signaling Easing Cost Pressures

Finland’s import price inflation slowed in June 2026, suggesting some easing in external cost pressures for the economy. According to the latest data updated on 24 July 2026, the Finnish Import Price Index rose 6.5% year-over-year in June, down from an 8.2% annual increase recorded in May 2026.

Both figures reflect year-over-year comparisons, measuring the change in prices for each month relative to the same month a year earlier. The deceleration from May’s 8.2% to June’s 6.5% indicates that while import prices are still rising compared with a year ago, the pace of that increase has moderated. This cooling in import cost growth could offer some relief to Finnish businesses reliant on foreign inputs and may gradually filter through to broader price dynamics in the months ahead.
